Classification information is provided to help you choose films for you and your family and friends. Classifications suggest the most suitable audience for a film. They also let you know about some of the content in the film and the impact of that content. In most circumstances, when you see the classification, you will also see a white space next to it that contains some brief advice phrases, called consumer advice.
